Editing a User in WordPress
You may want to change a user’s role, username, password, or other information that might have changed from when you first registered that user.
1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard as an administrator. A user with an administrator role is the only one who can make any changes to other users accounts.
2. Once you are logged into to the dashboard, click the link “Users” in the left hand side menu.

3. After clicking the “Users” link you will be brought to the “All Users” page.
* Below is an example of a list of all the users who have access to their sites dashboard. You should see a list like this, containing all of your users who have access to your dashboard.

4. Hover your mouse over one of the users names. You will see two links show up, Edit and Delete. Click the “Edit” link for the user you want to edit.
5. You will be brought to the “Edit User” page. On this page you will see it contains all the information about the user (name, contact, user role, and about the user). All can be edited and changed.
* The only non editable field is “Username”. You can not change a users username on this page.
6. Once you have updated or added the information you were looking to add, click the blue button in the bottom left corner “Update User”.

Your changes to the user will be saved and the information has been added.
